PENDLETON -- Wildhorse Resort and Casino is planning to celebrate the completion of the outer shell of its new 202-room hotel.
The casino will hold a "Topping Off Celebration" for the 10-story hotel on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m.
Wildhorse Resort and Casino, four miles east of Pendleton, broke ground on the hotel in fall, and expect to see construction end in September 2011. The resort and casino is owned by the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation.
"We are very excited to reach this milestone in construction," said Gary George, CEO at Wildhorse Resort and Casino, in a press release. "Crews have been working nights and weekends to ensure the winter weather did not take us off schedule and this is a great indicator that we will be ready for guests come September as planned."
The celebration will include chocolate cigars, top hats and drawings each 30 minutes for cash prizes.
