BENTON CITY -- Laura Wasenske, owner of The Rusty Pelican, recently moved her antique shop from Richland to Benton City. The store will have its grand opening from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday.
It had been in the Uptown Shopping Center in Richland for five years. The new 3,000-square-foot store is in an art deco-style service station at 701 Ninth St. in Benton City. "This location offers us so much more freedom to do what we want to do," according to The Rusty Pelican's blog.
The second Saturday of the month Wasenske invites additional antique and collectible vendors to set up and sell outdoors at her site.
The store is open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday through Saturday.
Never miss a local story.
The store's phone is 588-3133 or 460-1616. Wasenske also has a blog, therustypelicanantiquemarket.blogspot.com.
