Bennight, a staunch supporter of the Second Amendment, said “evil people will do evil things,” and guns are not to blame.
Suspect Tara Schock, 29, of Richland crashes into a parked van at the intersection of 14th Avenue and Hassalo Street during an early morning police pursuit. The chase started when Kennewick police officers attempted a traffic stop and the car sped over the cable bridge. Pasco officers joined the chase until she wrecked into a parked van. Reports say she has a suspended license and was arrested for eluding. Officers also found a package containing a white crystal substance in her vehicle.
A 19-year-old suspected of killing at least 17 people at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in a mass shooting on February 14 was arrested a short distance from the school on the same day. The suspect was named as Nikolas Cruz, and charged with 17 counts of premeditated murder. This video was shot by Mike Quaranta who said he was driving his kids home from school when he saw an arrest taking place. The footage was shot near Pelican Pointe in Wyndham, a little over a mile away from the school.
Sgt. Scott Warren of the Pasco Police Department releases preliminary information about a fatal stabbing in the 200 block of North Sixth Avenue. The body of an unidentified male between 30 and 40 years old was found in the street following an altercation.
