From only 13 people in his first service to Sunday church services that regularly saw 1,000 people, Rev. White's ministry connected with parishioners.
"He's always been about relationships with people," said Pastor Marty Armstrong, who once served side by side with White before his retirement from Cathedral of Joy.
The event will be from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. at Home Realty, 2618 N. Columbia Center Blvd., Richland (next to Chuck E Cheese).
Birthday cards and memories are encouraged for White, who now resides in the Seattle area with wife Jane.
