Thanks to live streaming, kiosks and snail mail DVDs, there are several cheaper options to consider when renting movies.
1. Redbox. Redbox offers DVD rentals for only $1 for one day. Not only is this super cheap, but Redbox also frequently offers promotions such as $.50 DVD rentals on Wednesday’s in July and promotional codes such as DVDONME for a free movie rental for new customers.
2. Amazon.com Instant Video. Amazon.com lets you watch streaming movies instantly at a price between $1.99 and $3.99 per movie. Amazon.com is quick to release the most current movies. Watch for qualifying purchases on Amazon.com that gives you a $5 credit for videos.

3. Hulu. At $7.99 per month, Hulu offers instant TV shows and movies for the small monthly fee.
4. Netflix. Offers snail-mail and instant streaming options for TV series and movies, starting at a monthly fee starting at $7.99.
