Have you been to a restaurant or store and received the up-most attention and helpfulness? Have you been so impressed by a product or food that you've told all your friends about it? Tell the company!
Everyone loves to hear a compliment when things are going great. But we all know that word-of-mouth travels so much faster when it's negative. So, it's always nice to hear the good in things too. If you've been impressed by a restaurant, product you've purchased, or a customer service experience, I highly recommend you contact the company and tell them about it. Find the website online and e-mail, fill out a survey, or phone them.
What's in it for you? Well, typically the company will be so honored that they will send you a discount card or coupon for next time! Plus, doesn't it feel good to spread positive experiences?!
On the flipside of things, if you've received less-than-satisfactory experience I also highly encourage you to speak up to the company. Give them a chance to make it up to you. But also, if they don't know it's broke, they can't fix it. Right?
I frequently receive e-mails from companies thanking me for my response (good or bad) and often reward me with discounts and coupons. It's a win-win. Company gets feedback, which they're always looking for, and we get discounts, which I'm always looking for!
