Expand your culinary horizons at five cooking classes at the Kennewick Community Education spring series.
The classes range from Italian to Chinese to Filipino cuisines. David Harris of Catering To You, Eva Hisa-Elwell and Christine Benson will teach dishes such as Chicken with Mushrooms and Gorgonzola, Hot and Sour Chinese Soup and Coconut Chicken Adobo.
Cost is $21 per class.

Catholic Family and Child Services is holding its 27th annual Gala Dinner and Auction on May 17 at TRAC in Pasco.
There will be a silent auction and cocktails beginning at 5:30 p.m., with dinner and a live auction at 7 p.m. Dancing begins at 9:30 p.m.
Cost is $60 per person or $600 for a table of 10.
Proceeds will assist the group's child welfare programs.
