The Pillsbury Bake-Off was completely redesigned last year, with changing the categories and criteria but keeping the grand prize the same --$1 million plus $10,000 of General Electric appliances.
However, there are a few more minor tweaks this year. The public still gets to vote on their favorite recipes, but those results will be combined with the official judges' decisions to determine the winner.
So consider carefully which recipe you vote for, there's a pile of money at stake.
The organizers also have expanded the ingredient list to include Pillsbury's gluten-free line of products. Keep in mind, the recipe cannot have any other ingredient with a wheat component.
There are four main recipe categories -- simply sweets, savory snacks and sides, weekend breakfast and amazing doable dinners. Finalists in these will move to the grand prize category and compete in the finals Nov. 3 in Nashville, Tenn.
There also are prizes for recipes showcasing certain ingredients and products.
Judges will be looking at recipes with a clever twist on an old favorite and one that's the most innovative. The top recipes in these categories will receive a $5,000 award each.
To encourage simpler, original recipes, cooks are limited to no more than seven ingredients, not including salt, pepper and water, and take 30 minutes or less to prepare, not including baking or cooling time.

Vote at the same website through March 27 for the first two categories, sweet treats and savory snacks. Voting for the second categories is open from March 27-May 8.
Wines, tours and fun
Yakima Valley Community College's teaching winery, Yakima Valley Vintners, and students in the wine marketing class plan an open house from 5 to 8 p.m. March 5.
The free event is an opportunity to learn about wines produced in the Yakima Valley, tour the winery and sample student-crafted, award-winning wines.
The wines will be available for purchase by the glass or bottle.
The open house will be at the Grandview campus, 110 Grandridge Road.
You must be 21 or older and have valid identification.
