If you have a recipe that goes on the table in 30 minutes or less, or that is cooked in a 13-by-9-inch pan, there's money in those dishes.
Taste of Home magazine is running two recipe contests, and cash is the prize.
The first, 10-20-30 Recipe Contest, is for your best supper that goes together fast and on the table even faster. Recipes must be original and contain no more than 12 ingredients.
Top prize in this contest is $1,000, with runners up receiving $400, $200, $100 or a book.
Never miss a local story.
Entries are due by April 11 and must be submitted at www.tasteofhome.com/contests.
The second, 13-by-9 Recipe Contest, is for any dish -- desserts, casseroles, pasta, no-bake salads and dips -- cooked/served in the ubiquitous rectangular pan found in every kitchen.
Again, only original recipes and 12 ingredients or less.
Top prize is $500, with runners up receiving $300, $150 or $75.
Deadline for entries is April 14. Submit at the same website.
Go to the Taste of Home website even if you're not creative with recipes. Tyson Chicken is running a contest where the public votes on their favorite recipe out of four.
One lucky winner's name will be drawn to win a $500 gift card to Williams-Sonoma. The voting ends March 15.
Wine, food, fundraiser
The 13th annual Wine Fete to benefit the Children's Developmental Center will be held Saturday at the Meadow Springs Country Club.
This event treats guests to a gourmet five-course dinner and live and silent auctions highlighting wineries in the region and the state.
Wine Fete is the largest fundraiser of the year for the nonprofit that works with children birth to three years with disabilities and challenges in Benton and Franklin counties.
