Parents searching for healthy foods on restaurant menus for their children can get help at healthydiningfinder.com.
The website is part of Kids LiveWell, a Healthy Dining program of the National Restaurant Association. The website offers nutritional information from registered dietitians who have scanned the menu offerings of hundreds of restaurants nationwide and identified each one's healthy options. Kids LiveWell menu choices each feature fruits and vegetables, protein, grains and low-fat dairy.
One of the restaurants signed up with the Kids LiveWell program is Kennewick's Extreme Pita. To help promote the healthy eating program, Extreme Pita is offering a Kids Eat Free promotion from April 1-5. Buy any pita and a medium drink and you'll receive a single children's meal, free. The child must be 12 years or younger.
The Healthy Dining website has a complete list of the restaurants and their healthy Kids LiveWell options along with a nutritional breakdown of each dish. You'll also find smart eating tips, coupons and nutritious recipes there.

The Tri-City restaurants signed up with the program include: Denny's, Outback, Red Lobster, Extreme Pita, Olive Garden, Bonefish, Jack in the Box, Blimpie, Taco John's, Samurai Sam's Teriyaki Grill and Pita Pit.

The annual, limited edition Wine-By-Cougars Artist Expression vintage has been released and is available for purchase. Bottles are $28 each.
This year's release is a 2009 cabernet sauvignon from WSU grads Craig and Vicki Leuthold from Maryhill Winery in Goldendale.
The label artwork -- pastel-hued flowers and fruit -- was created by WSU graduating senior Danica Wixom.
