It's the week of Valentine's Day, and even though it's already over, there's no reason not to continue eating the official food of Valentine's Day the whole week. This week, we've shared decadent recipes that utilize chocolate. Today's is from Real Simple magazine's website.
Unsalted butter for the baking dish
6 large egg yolks
2 cups whole milk
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
6 croissants, cut into 1-inch pieces (about 1 lb.)
4 ounces bittersweet chocolate, cut into chunks
