Crumbl Is Changing Its Famous Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe
Big changes are coming to Crumbl cookies next week. In a press release, the dessert company announced they are changing their beloved chocolate chip cookie recipe. Below, we share everything you need to know about the new Crumbl chocolate chip cookies, including when they hit stores nationwide.
What to know about the new Crumbl chocolate chip cookie recipe
On Thursday, May 21, Crumbl announced they are launching their new Better Bake Chocolate Chip Cookie. It will replace the brand’s Milk Chocolate Chip, and according to the company, the new cookie is not just a new recipe: “it’s a brand-wide commitment to perfecting the craft, meticulously developed by Crumbl’s founders and culinary team to set a new gold standard.”
They describe the new cookie as a “warm brown sugar cookie loaded with a dual-chocolate blend of melty milk chocolate chips and rich semi-sweet chocolate chunks.”
This is quite different from the original Milk Chocolate Chip Cookie, which they described as “A symphony of flour, sugar, butter, eggs and chocolate.”
A look at other changes coming to Crumbl
Along with the new chocolate chip cookie recipe, Crumbl announced that they are moving from six permanent cookies to four seasonally updated classics and selling their beloved thin cookies every day.
Currently, the permanent cookies include the Milk Chocolate Chip Cookie, the S’mores Cookie, the Pink Sugar Cookie and the Brownie Batter Cookie. All will be available for purchase at any Crumbl location and prices will vary based on your member status location and how many cookies you purchase.
As for the thins, Crumbl plans to rotate the flavors every week as opposed to only selling the thin chocolate chip cookie on what they have named “Thin Thursdays.”
They haven’t shared what the first new one will be, but we’re hoping for a thin Pink Sugar Cookie—this author’s favorite.
When does the new Crumbl chocolate chip cookie launch?
The new Crumbl chocolate chip cookie, new permanent lineup and new thins will launch in stores on Memorial Day: Monday, May 25.
