Dorothy and Harlan Denning
Dorothy and Harlan Denning celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary Nov. 7 at the home of their son and daughter-in-law in Richland.
They were married Nov. 10, 1945, in Nampa, Idaho, and moved to the Mid-Columbia in 1956 from Burley, Idaho.
Dorothy worked in retail sales for the Bon Marché, Carl’s and Robinson’s. She retired in 1980. She has been active for many years with Beta Sigma Phi, Tri-City Cancer Guild and PEO.
Harlan is a retired partner of Kennewick IGA and partner in Vickery’s Shopping Center in Othello. He retired from the grocery business at Kennewick IGA in 2000.
He is member of Tri-City Country Club, Kennewick Kiwanis, the Masons and the 38th Bomb Group Reunion Association.
They are members of Meadow Springs Presbyterian Church.
They have two children, James (Colleen) Denning, of Hayden Lake, Idaho, and Brian (Amy) Denning of Richland.
They have five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
