-- Western Washington University student Matthew Smith, son of Kathey Andrews-Smith and Mark Smith of Richland, received a $1,000 Associated Students Employee Scholarship for the 2014-15 academic year.
Smith graduated from Richland High in 2011 and is expected to graduate from Western in 2016 with a master's degree in education. He plans to become a high school teacher.
-- Miriah Webb of Kennewick has received a $4,000 Gary and Barbara Rodkin Scholarship Award on behalf of the ConAgra Foods Foundation.
The scholarship is for students attending a college, university or vocational-technical school who have a parent employed by ConAgra Foods.

Webb is the daughter of Robert Webb, a ConAgra Foods employee in Richland, and Yvonne Webb.
She plans to attend Seattle University in the fall to pursue a bachelor’s degree in diagnostic ultrasound. She's a 2011 Richland High School and 2012 Columbia Basin College graduate
-- Michelle Pham of Richland is the recipient of the 2014 Mike Harper Leadership Scholars Award, a $2,500 scholarship provided by the ConAgra Foods Foundation.
The scholarship is awarded each year to outstanding high school students who are enrolled or intend to enroll at an accredited college, university or vocational-technical school. Students must have a parent employed by ConAgra Foods to qualify.
Pham is the daughter of Mary Pham, a ConAgra Foods employee in Kennewick. She plans to attend University of Washington.
-- Rachelle Green of Kennewick has been awarded a Cecily Nyberg Scholarship of $1,280 for Eastern Washington University. This scholarship is awarded to a continuing EWU student majoring in education with a 2.5-plus grade-point average.
While at Southridge High, Green played softball and ran cross country. She was also a member of the National Honor Society. She graduated from high school in 2011.
Green is a junior majoring in elementary education with a focus on literacy. She is the daughter of David and Kayla Green of Kennewick.
