-- Madeline Serrano of Pasco has been awarded a dean's scholarship of $2,000 for Eastern Washington University. This scholarship goes to students who have demonstrated outstanding academic merit and achievements in high school.
While at Pasco High, she was a member of the wind symphony, a drum major with the marching band and captain of the bowling team.
She is the daughter of Jorge and Claudia Serrano of Pasco.
-- Lourdes Foundation and Lourdes Auxiliary have awarded seven scholarships to students pursuing undergraduate degrees in a health care-related field.

Recipients were selected based on academic achievement, financial need and volunteerism.
Six received $1,500: Ma Guadalupe Alonzo, a Columbia High graduate; Ashley Christina Jean Peterson, a Kamiakin High graduate; Sarah Jessica Aniceto, a student at Washington State University Tri-Cities College of Nursing; Gregory Saunders, a student at Washington State University Tri-Cities College of Nursing; Nicole Christine Ledesma, a student at Washington State University Tri-Cities College of Nursing; and Elena Marshall, a graduate of Liberty Christian High School.
Angela Ellane Shaw, a Columbia High graduate, received the $500 Sandberg-Stanke Memorial Nursing Scholarship.
-- Lauren Riley of Kennewick has been awarded an Alumni Association Scholarship of $1,000 for Eastern Washington University.
This scholarship is awarded to children or grandchildren of EWU Alumni. Riley is the daughter of Anthony and Danielle Riley.
-- Lydia Marshall has been awarded a Woodville-Hagelin Scholarship of $240 for Eastern Washington University.
This scholarship is awarded to a junior or senior who is in a health education-related major. She is a senior majoring in community health.
Lydia graduated from Richland High School in 2012. She is the daughter of Thomas Marshall and Paula Fallon of Benton City.
