Connie and Dick Lee of Richland will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Saturday at the Richland Community Center.
They were married June 12, 1964, at the Westminster Presbyterian Church in St. Joseph, Mo. They moved to the Mid-Columbia in 1972 from Green Bay, Wis.
Connie was a teacher for young children in various schools from 1965 until 2013. She retired after 33 years at Children's Garden Montessori School in 2013.
She served on the Richland Public Library Board, as an assistant Brownie Scout leader, taught Sunday school and helped with youth ministry at Central United Protestant Church and at Skills Development Mission with Care Group.

Dick taught chemistry at St. Norbert College for five years, and then worked as a research scientist at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory for 41 years before retiring in 2013.
He volunteers with the men's ministry at Central United Protestant Church and Bethel Church and is a member of the American Chemical Society, community service commission director at Bethel Church, served on the board for Power Zone Youth Center and tutors at the Center for Sharing in Pasco.
They are members of Bethel Church in Richland.
They have two children, Dana Lujan of Fountain Hills, Ariz., and Alison Gebers of Kennewick.
They have four grandchildren.
