Mildred and Jasper Oord of Kennewick will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary at 3 p.m. June 16 at Family of Faith Church, 825 N. Neel St., Kennewick.
They were married June 12, 1947, at the Orchard Vale Grange in Zillah. They moved to the Mid-Columbia in 1960 from Zillah.
Mildred spent 40 years as a volunteer for the Union Gospel Mission, nine years with Stephen's Ministry and one year with Safe Harbor Thrift Store.
Jasper worked at the Twin City Creamery, International Harvester and helped plan and start the shop at General Telephone & Electronics. He was in charge of the shop when he retired in 1990.

They are members of Family of Faith Church in Kennewick.
They have five children, Ger-aldine (Dennis) Frimodt of Burbank, Melinda Skinnell of Kennewick, Ray (Vickie) Oord of Pasco, Carl Oord of Kennewick and Douglas (Shelli) Oord of Richland.
They have nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
