Ed and Hazel Green of Pasco will celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary with an open house at their home from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 30.
They were married April 20, 1940, in the Trinity Lutheran Church in Brainerd, Minn.
Hazel worked for the city of Pasco, North American Van Lines from and part-time at Pasco Auto Sales.
Ed worked at Northern Pump, Northern Pacific Railroad in Minnesota, then transferred to Pasco, retiring in 1979.

He also served in the Navy from 1944-45.
They are members of the Pasco First Lutheran Church. Ed is a member of the American Legion.
The couple's children are Bonnie Garner of Washougal, Maureen Smith of Naches, Pam Ohman of Burbank, Russell "Rusty" Green of Kennewick, Rob Green of Pasco, Tami Cobb of Kennewick, Rhonda Green of Kennewick and Todd Green of Kennewick. Another son, Ed Green Jr., is deceased.
They have 32 grandchildren and 42 great-grandchildren.
