Harvey and Kaye Huisingh of Richland were married Aug. 28, 1960, in Hoquiam. They celebrated in July with family on a trip to Silverwood. They moved to the Tri-Cities from Pullman in 1962 after both graduated from Washington State University.
Kaye was a teacher at Longfellow Elementary for four years and retired as a self-employed cake decorator in 2009.
Harvey worked at Hanford for 25 years for a series of contractors that began with General Electric and ended with Fluor, for seven years at the Washington Public Power Supply System and retired as a manager for Paramount Painting in 2007.
They are members of West Side Church in Richland. Harvey is a member of the National Rifle Association, Tri-Cities Shooting Association, Richland Rod and Gun Club and was a Stephen Ministry coordinator for the church.

They have four children: Larry (Lynn) Huisingh of Kennewick; Jeff (Stacey) Huisingh of Richland; Gregg (Sharon) Huisingh of Pasco and Becca (Karl) Knudsen of West Richland. They have nine grandchildren.
