Who are the czars?

So, our senators who represent us in Congress have capitulated their duties of setting governmental policies to the Obama czars. Who are these people and what are their qualifications for setting national policy? What is their background and where do they come from? We really don't know.

While we have our tunnel vision set on the health care debate, what are the other 20-plus czars planning for our future. We don't know that either, do we.

I think we heard Obama talk about an administration of transparency, but as it turns out we have czars setting governmental policy behind closed doors with a complete end-run around Congress.

I can't understand how Congress lets this happen unless they are content with others doing their jobs that they are paid $174,000 a year to do.

The new national health care will destroy good medical care for the elderly. When they cut the doctors fee 50 percent, most doctors will opt of the Medicare, which ends our supplemental health care, forcing the elderly into the national health that really cares not for the elderly. Thanks a lot, senator, for a fine job well done.

JIM MICHAUD, Pasco
