I would like to address this highly sensitive topic by giving my own account of how this affects every American.
Recently in Kennewick there was a motion to the city council to evict every illegal alien. This is absolutely absurd. What is not widely known apparently is that most illegal households contain families who have legal residents living under the same roof. Think children. The children are the real victims here.
Most illegal aliens have children who were born in the U.S. If that's not bad enough, hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens are those whose parents brought them to our country while they were minors. This is the real mess that is illegal immigration. If we deport these illegal immigrants, what will happen to those children who are born American? This is the real problem.
I could care less about those who willingly broke the law, but can't bare to see hardship thousands feel every day.
My story: A young girl is brought to America by her parents at the age of 2. Her parents never considered petitioning to get her residency. After graduating high school, she married a handsome young American named Mike. She speaks perfect English, works hard and pays her taxes. What more can she do?
