During a recent TV interview, the West Richland chief of police reported that our city has budget problems and staff layoffs are possible. One person losing their job? More than one? Services cut? Property taxes increased?
Before cutting services or increasing taxes, electing Donna Noski mayor will result in huge financial savings. West Richland is small enough that we don't need a mayor and an administrator -- especially in tough economic times. We can't afford to keep Dale Jackson as mayor who requires an administrator when we can elect Donna Noski who will not need an administrator because she will not have a job outside city hall.
In addition to the financial savings of having Mrs. Noski as mayor, we will benefit from her experience as West Richland council member and city administrator. She is open, honest and fair to all people and issues.
Two other West Richland candidates I know who will work to operate our city within budget are Johan Curtiss and Richard Bloom. Both of these candidates have spent years following city issues and promoting what's best for our city.
Please vote for Donna Noski, Johan Curtiss and Richard Bloom.
HELGA NORRIS, West Richland
