A few ideas

Here's what I'd like to see asked:

Why can't the general population enjoy the same benefits that our state leaders enjoy, i.e.: medical, dental or retirement for example. Why don't they freeze or reduce their pay and benefits? Why do they insist that the easiest way to save is to cut our safety programs? Cutting security in our courts and law enforcement in our communities/counties is inviting disaster. This places people in peril all the way down to the newest citizen. Why do we have so many commissioners? Why don't we eliminate those positions and hire 1 business manager to run the county for $150,000/year plus benefits and a car. We'd save a lot of money there!

Why did the state pay for a nightmare round-about at the Highway 395/240 interchange? How much were the fish along Canal Drive? Why do we need a house for a carousel, or a carousel for that matter, when they are looking to cut our jobs from lack of funds?

It seems to me that there is a lot of room to cut some of the fat away from this problem without trying to place good people out of work. I wonder how many homes could have been saved with all this money?
