Initiative 1033: No

As a mother of two children in the public school system, one child being disabled, I am alarmed at the possible consequences that would ensue if Initiative 1033 were to pass. Initiative 1033 would reduce our state's, counties' and cities' government general fund revenues. These funds help support our schools, social and health services, to mention a few. Through my involvement in PTO and other school activities, I realize some of the shortages that our schools already face.

As a mother of a child who is disabled, health care cuts would threaten the already precarious situation that some of our disabled and elderly already face. I agree that some fundamental changes need to take place in how our government does business. Initiative 1033 makes no attempt to correct underlying problems. Please vote NO on Initiative 1033.
