In regard to the race for 16th District House of Representatives, it's time to put party labels aside and vote for the person who can actually get things done for her constituents here in Eastern Washington. It is not in our best interests to vote for a candidate simply because he has an "R" (or a "D") next to their name.
In addition to being a conservative, fiscally responsible Democrat, Laura Grant is the only teacher in the Legislature and also has been selected to serve as the vice chair of the Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee. She already has proved that she has the spunk, determination and the independent streak that characterized her dad, the late Bill Grant.
Let's elect the candidate who has a proven commitment to local priorities and that can use her position as a member of the majority party to get things done for the people of Eastern Washington. Please join me in supporting Laura Grant for 16th District House of Representatives.
