I read your endorsement of Laura Grant for 16th District Representative. Your reasoning to support Rep. Grant is flawed. To elect someone as a Democratic voice in a Republican area is not a good reason for support. If every district elected a representative based on the current majority of the Legislature, in one or two election cycles the entire legislative body would be one party.
I think that most voters with any common sense at all would agree that a one-party system would not be a good thing for any of us!
In your endorsement I think you missed an important point. That point would be Terry's hard work and determination. This is Terry's second round as a challenger, as he ran against Laura's father last election. He is running again against an appointed incumbent, and if he should win, he will have to run again next year. I think that most voters recognize the hard work and determination it takes to make such an effort. For me, that effort deserves support, or at least recognition.
Terry is a moderate Republican with conservative values, common sense and a terrific work ethic. Next time, please put that in your evaluation of the candidates.
