Pasco: Samuel

I had an unexpected encounter with one of our city council members the other day. I found Tom "Guarding my rights" Larsen placing one of his campaign signs in a vacant lot that I co-own without permission. When I asked him to remove it he got quite upset. I then did the unthinkable; I asked about an issue that the council has been dealing with for the last few months. What followed was a tirade that continued for several minutes with him having no intention of listening to anything I had to say.

Mr. Larsen's arrogant attitude about not needing to attend candidates forums and his decision not to listen to the opinions of those who elect him is wrong. The city of Pasco deserves better. We deserve a council person who is willing to listen to various opinions and reasonable arguments and then formulate an informed position.

Todd Samuel is that person. Todd has the ability to deal with complex issues and has the best interests of the citizens of Pasco in mind. The city of Pasco deserves better representation. Join me in voting for Todd Samuel for Pasco City Council.

SPENCER JILEK, Pasco
