Hanford High School’s production of Thoroughly Modern Millie has earned several 5th Avenue Award nominations.
The awards recognize outstanding achievement in high school musical theater. They’ll be presented June 8 at a ceremony at the famed Seattle theater.
The Hanford High nominations are: outstanding overall musical, outstanding direction, outstanding music direction, outstanding choreography, outstanding scenic design, outstanding costume design, outstanding hair and makeup design, outstanding performance by an actress in a leading role for Amy Aiello as Millie Dillmont, and outstanding performance by an actress in a supporting role for Olivia Coppock as Mrs. Mears.
The production also earned several honorable mentions, including for outstanding orchestra, outstanding stage crew, outstanding performance by an actor in a supporting role for Devin Duggan as Trevor Graydon III, outstanding performance by a chorus and outstanding performance by an ensemble group for Zach Pawlowski and Josh Smith.
Zach Harper also is being honored for student achievement.
