The Tri-Cities Chinese American Association plans a reception and cultural performance May 17 in honor of Asian American Awareness Month.
The event is 2 to 4 p.m. at the Richland Public Library, 955 Northgate Drive. It’s free and open to the public.
About 40 adults and children will perform, and an origami and Chinese calligraphy demonstration are planned.
Refreshments will be served. Representatives of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Seattle are scheduled to be there.
An exhibit also is planned at the library throughout May.
