North Franklin County residents will have a free, safe way to dispose of household hazardous wastes from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 16 at the Connell Fire Station, 605 S. Columbia St.
Wastes such as paints, pesticides, adhesives, motor oil and batteries will be accepted at no charge. Explosives, asbestos and medical waste will not be accepted. There is a 10-gallon limit per household. Proof of Franklin County residency is required.
