The Lower Columbia Basin Audubon Society will be at the Reach center in Richland from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 2 teaching about spring bird migration.
Presentations on celebrating urban birds, exotic birds of Australia and Conservation Futures are planned, along with activities for kids, including bird watching and making small wreaths of nesting material.
At 8 a.m., a bird walk on Bateman Island will take off from Wye Park in Richland.
Lower Columbia Basin Audubon Society is covering 100 free admissions to the Reach for people who mention the group, and it’s giving family Reach memberships as door prizes. Drawings will be in the morning and afternoon.
The Reach is at 1943 Columbia Park Trail.
