The Walla Walla Veterans Affairs Medical Center will have a telehealth demonstration 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. today .
The truck will be parked in front of Building 74 on the campus at 77 Wainwright Drive and will show the telehealth services available.
The VA said it served more than 690,000 veterans nationwide through telehealth in 2014, serving about 12 percent of enrolled veterans. About 55 percent lived in rural areas with limited access to VA services.
The Walla Walla VA has telehealth clinics in two Oregon communities, Boardman and Enterprise. Each is staffed with a nurse and technician, with the primary care provider working with the patient from another location.
