The Mid-Columbia Libraries’ latest book sale starts April 23 at the branch on Union Street in Kennewick.
While the first day of the sale is open only to members of the Friends of the Mid-Columbia Libraries, which organizes the event, it opens to the public April 24 with books, CDs, DVDs, audiobooks and other materials up for grabs. Prices range from 25 cents to $1, unless otherwise marked.
Hours for the sale are as follows:
• April 23: 5 to 7 p.m.
Never miss a local story.
• April 24: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• April 25: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• April 26: 1 to 3 p.m.
The last book sale generated about $10,500, which the Friends donate back to the library by buying prizes and materials for various library programs and bringing in speakers, exhibits, films and other events.
A Friends membership is $5 a year and those interested may sign up at the sale.
