Columbia Basin Shrine Club is offering a free screening clinic 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 18 at Tri-Cities Community Health, 515 W. Court St. in Pasco.
The screening by physicians is for babies up to 18-year-olds with orthopedic problems, burns and burn scaring issues. No appointment is necessary.
The screening will determine if a child is eligible for treatment at the Spokane Shriners Hospital. The results will be sent to the hospital. Screenings may be for an existing problem or for a second opinion.
Spanish interpreters will be available at the clinic. Exams last about a half hour.
Shriners care for a variety of conditions such as scoliosis, hip, spinal, arm, shoulder, leg, foot and joint problems including fractures and dislocations.
Treatment will be provided regardless of a family’s ability to pay.
Parents should bring the child’s birth certificate, immunization records and guardianship documents, if applicable.
