The new bilingual play Searching for Aztlán will be on stage April 16 in Walla Walla and April 17 in Hermiston
The play, by Teatro Milagro, “takes the audience on a metaphorical yellow brick road of discovery about what it means to be Chicano in contemporary society,” a news release said.
Showtime is 7:30 p.m. at the Gesa Power House Theatre, 11 N. Sixth Ave., Walla Walla. Reserved seating tickets are $15 to $18 for adults and $9 for students. They’re available at www.shakespearewallawalla.org or by calling 509-529-6500.
In Hermiston, the play starts at 7 p.m. at the Armand Larive Auditorium, 1497 SW Ninth St. Admission is free, but donations will support the Desert Arts Council’s art program for children.
