Local teens will offer a dress exchange on April 11 to serve girls in the community who need a dress for their high school prom.
The Exchange for Change is open to all teens in Tri-City area high schools but is particularly aimed at providing donated dresses to vulnerable and at-risk youth, a release said. Other students may also use the exchange to find a new dress for prom by trading in another dress they currently have.
Organizers are hoping to collect 50 donated dresses for this year’s event. They can be dropped off at the Cynergy Center at 4309 W. 27th Ave. from 9 to 10 a.m. on April 11. The exchange will run from 10 a.m. to noon and then 1 to 3 p.m. that same day.
