Benton County residents will be able to turn in hazardous waste at two upcoming events.
The first collection event 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 3-4 at the Benton County Fairgrounds at the 10th Avenue entrance in Kennewick.
The other is 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 25 at the Uptown Shopping Center at the corner of Williams Boulevard and Stevens Drive in Richland.
Items being accepted include paint, solvents, cleaners, automotive fluids, pesticide, fertilizer, batteries, propane tanks and pool or hot tub chemicals.

Electronics, fluorescent light bulbs, tires, appliances, explosives, radioactive materials, asbestos, biohazards and trash will not be accepted.
