Colder air flooding into the Mid-Columbia after March 30 will drop temperatures back to about normal from highs in the 70s in recent days.
March 30 the high in the Tri-Cities should be about 73 degrees, but that will drop to about 60 degrees Tuesday and Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service. Highs should remain within a few degrees of 60 through the next weekend.
Lows are expected to drop into the 30s starting Tuesday night, with a low of about 33 degrees Wednesday night and lows remaining in the 30s through the weekend. Plants that have begun to bloom may be affected on the coldest nights, according to the weather service.
