Police set up a sting to catch a juvenile suspected of breaking into a West Richland smoke shop.
A masked person broke into Vape Head Origins early March 20 by smashing a window out with a rock, police said. The suspect stole an estimated $2,000 worth of items and caused about $1,000 in damage.
Officer Nick Letourneau arranged to meet with the boy to buy stolen items and then arrested him. Police say he later admitted to the break-in and led them to the rest of the items.
He was taken to the Juvenile Justice Center in Kennewick.
