A recent Kennewick lottery winner plans to share some of the $50,000 he won with the store clerk who sold him the ticket.
Ronald Strait Jr. of Kennewick won the windfall with a “Makeover Money” Scratch ticket he bought March 17 at the Max Mart at 1400 W. Fourth Ave. in Kennewick.
“At first I thought the ticket said I won $5,” he said. “Then, I realized it said $50,000. I screamed with excitement when I scanned it.”
Strait said he has a tradition of sharing some of the money he wins playing the lottery with the store clerk who sold the ticket if it’s more than $50.
Strait said he had no immediate plans for the money, but was going to take his son and girlfriend out to dinner to celebrate.
