Tri-City area residents can provide remote testimony on four bills before the state Senate Agriculture, Water & Rural Development Committee on March 12 but must register by 8 a.m. March 11.
Testimony can be given at Columbia Basin College, W Building, Room 123, in Pasco.
The bills include:
• HB 1268: Regarding hemp as a component of commercial animal feed.
• SHB 1527: Requiring the Washington state Department of Agriculture to approve the comparable recertification standards of private entities for the purposes of waiving the recertification requirements under the Washington pesticide control act.
• HB 1622: Expanding the products considered to be potentially nonhazardous as they apply to cottage food operations.
• EHB 1989: Concerning water storage asset management services.
