Inherit Earth canceled its Dec. 20 gig at the Emerald of Siam in Richland. Trevor Scott, drummer for the group, said the band had to cancel because one of its guitar players quit, and there was no time to get a replacement before the Tri-City gig.
But the music won’t be lost that night, as Scott and another musician, Alan Baker, will perform reggae music that night, said Dara Quinn, co-owner of the nightclub. Music starts at 9 p.m. Cover is $3. Performing at the Emerald on Dec. 19 will be Fruition, a band that is no stranger to the Tri-Cities. The last time Fruition brought its old-school bluegrass sound to the Richland was in 2013, when they played to a packed house. Music starts at 9 p.m. Cover is $10. Fruition is made up of lead singer Kellen Asebroek, Mimi Naja on mandolin, Jay Cobb Anderson on lead guitar, Tyler Thompson on drums and Keith Simon on bass.
All are ages welcome until 10:30 p.m., when it the nightclub switches to 21 and older only.
