The local Home Instead Senior Care office is looking for shoppers willing to purchase gifts for needy seniors this holiday season through the Be a Santa to a Senior program.
Christmas trees with ornaments featuring the first names and gift requests of participating seniors will be at the Shopko in Kennewick and the Tri-Cities Area Journal of Business until Dec. 17.
“Holiday shoppers can pick ornaments from the trees, buy the items listed and return them unwrapped (and with the ornament attached) to the store,” a news release said.
The gifts will then be wrapped and distributed. Home Instead Senior Care is partnering with Habitat for Humanity and Life Care Center of America locations in Kennewick and Richland on the project.
Shopko is at 867 N. Columbia Center Blvd. and Tri-Cities Area Journal of Business is at 8919 W. Grandridge Blvd.
