Chiawana High presents Charlie & the Chocolate Factory on Dec. 12-13 in the school’s black box theater, 8125 Argent Road, Pasco. Curtain time is 7 p.m.
Roald Dahl’s tale of strange chocolate maker Willy Wonka and a young boy name Charlie Bucket has captivated children worldwide for decades. The stage version of Dahl’s book was adapted by Richard R. George and follows the theme of the book about Charlie and four other children who win a golden ticket to the weird and wonderful Wonka Chocolate Factory. But they all soon discover that feasting on candy isn’t as sweet as it seems.
The play, directed by Chiawana drama teacher Todd Westendorf, features Gabriel Larsen as Charlie, Sam Fishe as Willy Wonka, Colby Hanses as Mike, Allison Gass as Violet, Natasha Jensen as Veruca and Emily Toombs and Adrianna Michelson as the narrators.
Admission is $10.
