A hearing on some summary judgment motions in the Arlene’s Flowers case is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Dec. 5 in Benton County Superior Court.
One of the motions asks for claims against Barronelle Stutzman in her personal capacity to be dropped. She’s the owner of the Richland flower shop.
The judge could decide on the motions during the hearing or issue his rulings later.
The state attorney general’s office sued Stutzman and her business last year after she declined to create flower arrangements for a gay couple’s wedding, citing her religious beliefs. The couple also filed suit.
