The Reach center in Richland has several activities planned Dec. 6 to celebrate the holiday season.
The new hybrid museum, interpretive center and performing arts venue at the west end of Columbia Park will stay open past its winter hours of 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., with holiday refreshments at 5 p.m., followed by a visit at 5:30 p.m. from Clara from the Mid-Columbia Ballet’s Nutcracker, who’ll dance and participate in a special photo.
Santa will arrive at 5:45 p.m. and Bells of the Desert handbell choir will perform at 6 p.m. A performance by members of Mid-Columbia Mastersingers follows at 6:30 p.m.
At 6:45 p.m., visitors will be able to view the Lighted Boat Parade on the Columbia River.
Never miss a local story.
The holiday activities are included in regular Reach admission, which is $8 for adults and $6 students, seniors and veterans. Children under age 5 and members of the Reach are admitted for free.
The Reach center is at 1943 Columbia Park Trail.
