The morning commute will be slippery Thursday morning, warns the National Weather Service.
Already Pasco and Richland schools have closed for the day and canceled parent-teacher conferences. Ki-Be and Touchet schools are on delayed starts because of icy conditions.

It predicted a 60 percent chance of freezing rain between 10 p.m. Wednesday and 4 a.m. Thursday morning in the Tri-Cities and across most of the Mid-Columbia.
The chance of freezing rain between 4 a.m. and 10 a.m. Thursday will drop to 30 percent, said the weather service.
The high Thursday is expected to stay at just below 30 degrees, but a warming trend should start Thursday night. Rain and a high of 38 degrees is forecast for the Tri-Cities Friday.
