People can learn about a proposal to change Lewis and Clark streets into one-way streets at a meeting at 7 p.m. today
The city wants comments on the proposal to make Lewis Street a one-way road heading east and Clark a one-way heading west.
Making the streets one way between Second and 10th avenues is intended to reduce overall traffic speed, as well as improving pedestrian and bicycle use.
The one-way plan was originally intended as part of the planned Lewis Street overpass, but the council asked staff to move forward with it in advance of the overpass because it is uncertain when money will be available to build a new bridge.
Never miss a local story.
The meeting is in Pasco City Hall’s first floor council chambers, 525 N. Third Ave. For more information, call the city engineering office at 509-545-3444.
