Reservations are being accepted for the 10th annual Richland Green Awards, which will be held Oct. 16 in the Richland Community Center’s Riverview Room.
The environmental efforts of eight businesses, organizations, and individuals will be highlighted during the event. Richland CityView TV interviewed and crafted videos on each applicant. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and the event begins at 7 p.m.
This year’s applicants include Buckwheat Bottoms cloth diapers, Pacific Northwest National Laboratory’s sustainable campus, Paragon Corporate Housing, Superior Mobile Fleet Wash, Timbers Apartments, and nonprofit organizations, Friends of Badger Mountain and Go Green Tri-Cities.
Richland’s Green Business of the Year will be announced during the ceremony, and the audience will vote for their favorite as well.
Never miss a local story.
The event also includes a display of recycled art pieces and refreshments. The event will be recorded and aired throughout the month on Richland’s CityView, cable channel 192. It will be available on the city’s website and YouTube as well.
