Player spots are already rapidly filling for the Washington Wine Industry Foundation’s 14th annual Wine Cup Golf Tournament on Monday, July 14, at Meadow Springs Country Club in Richland.
More than half of the 144 player spots are taken.
The event, which raises money to support the industry, will begin with registration at 8 a.m. and golfing starting at 9 a.m. Foundation officials hope to beat last year’s record of more than $40,000.
The tournament includes an 18-hole tournament along with other contests including putting, closest to the pin and cork chipping. There also will be a wine reception and awards lunch with prizes such as a five-day cruise for two for each member of the Low Gross winning team.
Register before June 14, to receive early bird rates of $225 a person or $850 for a team of four. Each golfer will receive a Nike logo golf shirt. Sponsorships and prize donation also are needed.
